HOME COMMUNICATOR

There are 101 days until May 30.

**Insert Europe’s Final Countdown soundtrack**

101 days until warmer temperatures.

101 days until the sun sets at 9pm instead of 6pm.

101 days until we get a break from packing school lunches.

101 days until school is out for the summer.

I don’t know about you, but 101 more days simultaneously feel long and short. I love walking in these halls full of life and learning, snow boots, and speed-walking students. I love the chapels filled with worship and the classrooms filled with wonder. And yet, I look forward to the change of pace summer brings. Regardless, God encourages us to number our days “That we may gain a heart of wisdom.” (Psalm 90:12). Jesus reminds us of this when He told the story of the rich fool who didn’t number his days (Luke 12). Instead, the fool wasted them on selfish pursuits without eternal value.

So, as we look at the next 101 days, I pray that I can (and you can, and our students can) do so with a Psalm 90 heart—one that doesn’t see May 30 as the end goal but sees the next 101 days as the opportunity to grow our relationship with Christ. Let’s make these next 101 days count!
